View & Edit an Asset (Mobile)
Assets are the individual pieces of equipment at your facility. In the mobile app you can look up any asset, see its live telemetry and work history, and update its details — useful when you're standing in front of the equipment.
Finding an asset
By browsing
- Open the drawer menu (☰) from the Home tab.
- Tap Assets.
- Use the system filter or search bar to narrow the list.
- Tap any asset to open its detail screen.
By scanning the QR tag
The fastest way to pull up an asset when you're on the floor:
- Tap the blue + FAB → Find Asset.
- Point the camera at the QR sticker on the equipment.
- The asset detail screen opens automatically.
See Find an Asset by QR Code for more detail.
What you see on the asset detail screen

| Specs | Manufacturer, model, serial, capacity, refrigerant, setpoint, etc. (fields vary by asset type) |
| Telemetry | Live and historical sensor readings (temperature, status) as a chart — if the asset has sensors |
| Open issues | Issues currently linked to this asset |
| Work history | Recent and past work orders |
| PM schedules | Upcoming and past preventive maintenance |
Editing an asset
Editing asset details requires the Org Admin or Org Operator role with assets.write permission.
- Open the asset detail screen.
- Tap Edit (pencil icon, top right).
- Update any of the following:
- Name — must remain unique within its site + system.
- Space — move the asset to a different area.
- Asset tag — the QR/barcode identifier (e.g.
HVAC-003). - Attributes — spec fields like model, serial, setpoint, capacity (depend on asset type).
- Tap Save.
Only fields that actually changed are sent to the server.
Creating an issue from an asset
From the asset detail screen you can jump straight to filing an issue against it:
- Tap Create Issue (or use the FAB from the asset context).
- The asset is pre-selected as the issue anchor.
- Complete the issue form as normal — see Create an Issue (Mobile).
Viewing work orders linked to an asset
The Work history section on the asset detail screen lists all work orders — open and completed — that have been linked to this asset. Tap any row to open the full work order detail.
