Navigating the Mobile App
Vigil Mobile is the phone version of the Vigil web app, built for org users (operators, facility managers) who are on the floor. It shares the same data as the web app — anything you do here shows up there, and vice versa.
Signing in
- Open the Vigil app on your phone.
- The app prompts for Face ID or fingerprint before showing any data. This happens every time you open the app.
- If you're not yet signed in, enter your email. A one-time code is sent to verify you.
- After sign-in, you'll be asked to select your organization and store if you haven't already.
Bottom tabs
The app's main navigation is three tabs at the bottom of the screen:

The drawer menu (inside Home)
The Home tab contains a slide-out drawer that reaches the full app. Tap the menu icon (☰) at the top left of the Home screen to open it.

The QuickActions FAB (floating "+" button)
The FAB (Floating Action Button) is the blue "+" button in the bottom-right corner. It's your fastest path to the most common actions. Tap it and a speed-dial expands into four shortcuts:

| Create Issue | Opens the issue creation form |
| Create Work Order | Opens the work order creation form |
| Find Asset | Opens the QR code scanner — point at any asset's QR tag |
| Create Asset | Opens the asset creation form |
The FAB is available on the Home, Issues, Work Orders, Assets, and Settings screens.
How to switch stores
If you manage multiple locations:
- Go to Settings → General tab.
- Tap Change store.
- Select the store you want to work in.
Or tap Change Organization to switch to a different org entirely.
Keeping the app up to date
Vigil Mobile uses over-the-air (OTA) updates — minor updates are pushed automatically in the background. You'll see a small banner when an update is available. Tap it to apply. No App Store download required for most updates.
